Stacks Exceeds Life Expectancy was started by us, Kate and Beth (Bethylou). We are sisters raised in the Midwest.  Beth helps people get in touch with history in New York City and Kate is a linguist living and working in Northern Nevada.  We grew up in a family of readers.  If you ever visit our parents home in Iowa, you may notice the stacks upon stacks of books piled around the house.  That book hoarding gene may be genetic because our to-read stacks are far too large for us to finish in our lifetime.  However, that has not stopped us from trying.  We intend to chip away at those stacks, one blog post at a time.
